Day 1 - Off we go to England

On Wednesday, Sep. 20^th we met at the airport. We did the check-in and went to our gate. Once we were on the plane we were flying for two hours. We landed and got our suitcases. Next we waited for our bus that would take us from London to Eastbourne.
After two hours we arrived in Eastbourne and were dropped off at our language school.
There we got some information. We left our suitcases at the school and went to the beach for the first time. Then we walked through the city and after two hours we went back to school. Then everyone got picked up by their host families and was driven to their homes. (Pinar & Armina)

Day 2 - Getting to know Eastbourne

The first day was exciting, interesting but also very stressful.
So, the day started that most of us students were brought to school by the host families, some of us used the train or taxi. School started at 9 a.m. and endet at 12.30 p.m. After school we went into town and had one hour for our lunch break. Some kids went to Starbucks, some to Mc Donald`s and some to Burger King.
Later we did an Actionbound-quiz and we moved around town, splitted in groups to answer the questions. Stressful about the day was that we all had to find the way home to our guest families. At the end of the day everyone arrived home safely. (Leonie & Liron)

Yesterday school started at 9 a.m. There were two groups at school. Every hour we changed rooms. There were two teachers who taught us facts about English speaking countries for example Ireland and Scotland. Then we had a fifteen minutes break and after break we continued. Our school day lasted three and a half hours.
After school we went into town and had a lunch break. We were allowed to eat anywhere we wanted close to our meeting point. After lunch break we met our teachers again and got further information. We had to open the Actionbound app and had some quiz questions to answer. We were walking around town and solved the quiz. When we were finished we met the teachers and then waited for our colleagues.
At the end we had 45 minutes time to go shopping, then it was six o`clock and we had to check how we would all get home. Then we were released, some of us took the bus or the train. (Fiona & Angelina)

Day 3 - Cliffwalk uuup to "Beachy Head"

We got up early and went to Eastbourne town centre by train. When we arrived there we had a quick stop at Starbucks and then we walked to school. At school, which was from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., we had a lot of fun and learnt a lot. Then we had lunch break in the town centre.
When the break was over we strolled along the promenade, until we finally went straight up to the cliffs. After a while we where all exhausted but we all made it to the top, called "Beachy Head". We were all looking forward to going down. Some of us even ran down the hill. When we got down we played football until the teachers called us to go. On the way home Kilian realised that he had lost his wallet. We ran back and luckily found it again. We went home quickly because we were really tired after this exciting trip. (Florian & Kilian)

Day 4 - Brighton on a sunny day

Today was quite a good day. In the morning we were at school like the other days.
After school we were allowed to go into town to buy something to eat. Later we took the train to Brighton. We walked there for a while before we could get into the 360° Tower. Well it wasn`t what we had imagined but it was still a great view of Brighton.
After this experience we returned to the city and were allowed to go shopping for half an hour. It was a great day for us and we will never forget this trip. (Claudia & Vanessa)

On Saturday we were in Brighton. It was very nice there, because we went to the beach and to a very big aquarium. We saw two turtles and four sharks. We learnt a lot about animals in the sea. We could also touch a starfish that felt a bit weird. Afterwards we visited the 360° Tower which is 162 metres high. We took nice photos there. In Brighton there was a penny arcade, too. It was great fun. (Raul & Philipp)

On Saturday we were in Brighton. We visited the Sea Life Centre. There we saw many sea creatures for example giant turtles, sharks, piranhas and others.
Later we went to the 360° Tower where we had a very beautiful view. We were 162 metres high up in the sky. Carlos and I saw the whole city.
After that we went to a big shopping mall and bought many things. We enjoyed the good weather because the sun was shining the whole day. In the evening we took the train back to Eastbourne. After a two hours train ride we were sent home to our host families. (Raphael & Carlos)

Day 5 - London, here we come

Today we went to London. We visited some famous sights, for example the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. We also went on a boat along the River Thames. There we got a great view of Big Ben also called Elisabeth Tower.
We could also see the Ladies Bridge (= Waterloo Bridge), that was partly built by women in the second World War.
After that we went a little bit further in the city and were allowed to explore some small parts of it (Picadilly Circus) alone. We saw streetdancers that have shown a pretty good performance.
One hour later we travelled one and a half hours back to Eastbourne by train.
As we arrived the teachers let us go home. We got to our hostfamily and ate delicious food. After the amazing dinner we went to bed and were excited for the next day. (Sara B. & Ashley)

In the morning we took a train to London. First we went to Buckingham Palace and watched the guards protecting it. Then, after a short break at Trafalgar Square, a place with fountains and sculptures, we went to the London Eye. It was a really great view from the top.
After that we took a bus to the Tower of London where, during Henry VIII reign, a lot of traitors and even some of his wives got executed.
Then we took a boat on River Thames to the other side of London with a very funny tour guide showing us some of London`s sights. After we got off the boat we took a bus to Victoria station and then a train back to Eastbourne. The trip was great. (Marcel & Jakub)
